At tinkrTOT STEAM Childcare & Pre-K in East Lansing we provide a space to create things with your own hands! Meet new friends and work on projects together. Celebrate accomplishments and creativity. In Oct. 2021, founder Melissa Rabideau created tinkrTOTS to introduce STEAM-focused learning to a younger age group. We welcome children ages 18 months to 5 years. We offer year-round care. Our mission is to foster a generation of independent thinkers who together can shape the future TODAY with the collaborative power of self-eSTEAM.
Open hours are Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We hope to see you soon!

Free Membership
Enrollment includes a tinkr2.0 Membership for free drop-in play outside of the classroom. Children also take field trips to tinkr2.0 during inclement weather in place of outdoor play.

Engaging Classrooms
Brand new East Lansing childcare & pre-k facilities in 2022 offer crafted spaces for activities, dancing, building, art, reading, eating, and napping.
Balanced Curriculum
We provide a healthy blend of structured play, free play, and outdoor play. tinkr2.0 teachers will modify the difficulty of STEAM activities and traditional learning to best suit your child’s needs!
Healthy & Allergy-Friendly
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided, and we offer the option to order select menu items from the East Lansing Grand Traverse Pie Company for lunch! Note: We are a NUT-FREE FACILITY.
Full-Time Care
Full enrollment includes Monday - Friday during open hours: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Part-Time Care
Attend 2 or 3 full days per week OR Attend 5 half days per week (for 4 hours per day.)
Financial Aid

We hope you’ll love the bright colors and excitement of tinkrTOT STEAM childcare & pre-k in East Lansing. It’s exciting to explore! You can make new friends, try new things, and learn new skills with us. We know you like to move and play, touch & feel, or even taste and squeeze! That’s why we made the perfect place with a special set of rules that are different than anywhere else… At tinkrTOTS we love to take stuff apart, get messy, or try something goofy. Let’s get our hands dirty together and make something to show off at home. We’ll take lots of breaks from the classroom to go outside to play, or down to tink2.0 to hang out in the Learning Lagoon. At lunch time you can enjoy a packed lunch OR have Grand Traverse Pie Company delivered when you have an adult order for you in the morning! We make sure you have a great day when you’re away from home, and we’ll be sending your loved ones lots of photo updates, so they won’t miss you too much. We’d love the chance to meet you and show you around.
