Camps
2023 Summer Camps in East Lansing at tinkrLAB are fun and STEAM-based challenges for kids grades 1st – 5th! Half-day camps offered are from 9am – 12pm or from 1pm – 4pm. Need a full day or summer camp? No problem! Sign up for a whole day when you register and receive a $49 discount automatically.
Please note Lunch is from 12-1pm and Campers will need to be picked up during that time. Snacks/drinks are not provided so please pack your camper a small snack bag. We are a NUT FREE FACILITY.

Does your kiddo LOVE building with LEGOs? Do you think they have what it takes to become a LEGO MASTER? Come accept the challenge and design amazing sculptures! This engaging camp will focus on collaboration, LEGO building skills, creativity, problem solving, and architecture and design.
Jun 12 - 16, 1pm - 4pm
This camp is all about SUGAR! Learn how to make different types of sweet treats from scratch (and of course, learn the science behind it!) Caramels, Edible Glass, Peppermint bark and MORE!

This camp is designed specifically for toddlers ages 2-5. They get to enjoy the thrill of summer camp while feeling the security of a parent being present. June's toddler camp is Bunches of Bugs! Join us as we use our senses to explore all of the creepy crawlies.
Jun 19 - 23, 9am - 12pm
Dino week at tinkrCAMP is all about getting hands on with the dinos you love. During this week of camp you will: - Build your own model dinosaur kits to take home - Create your dinosaur habitat - Learn about the dinosaurs you are building - Get hands on as you excavate your own dinosaur fossils - Create what you think a dinosaur should have looked like and more!

What is better for kids than SLIME?!?!?! This entire week of camp will be focused on the ingredients, composition and reactions from SLIME! Normal Slime - Color Changing Slime - Glitter Slime - Sensory Slime - Fluffy Slime... they will try it all. Here's the best part though.. they will learn how to make MONEY by selling it.
Jun 26-29, 9am - 12pm
Based on the show with the same title, Junkyard Wars encourages campers to build from the "junk". Those plastic cups, cardboard boxes, and spoons you would normally recycle or throw away? In the eyes of a junkyard wars camper, they become a catapult or a working bridge!!
Jun 26 - 30, 1pm - 4pm
Explore the worlds of robotics, engineering, and coding with the VEX Robotics. Get hands-on to build your robot and engineer wiring. Many of the activities are team-based to simulate real-world robotics competitions.
July 5 - 7, 1pm - 4pm
This is a 3 day camp (Wednesday-Friday.) Your camper will learn how to play Chess, (or become better at it!) All while having fun and making new friendships!
July 10-14, 9am - 12pm
Unlock the mysteries lurking in your pantry! Wacky food experiments will help you understand the chemical reactions involved in everything that we eat!
July 10 - 14, 1pm - 4pm
Join us for this art and fun filled week! Campers will learn different painting and drawing techniques while learning the basics of art creation. They will end the week by letting their creativity flow (literally!) in our black light splatter booth!
July 10 – 14 • 10a – 11:30a
This camp is designed specifically for toddlers ages 2-5. They get to enjoy the thrill of summer camp while feeling the security of a parent being present. July’s toddler camp is Deep Water Dive! Join us as we use our senses to explore all of the things under the sea.
July 17 - 21, 9am - 12pm
What's better than learning about science? Getting messy while doing it! Come for a day full of getting gooey and gross. Let them enjoy making the mess in OUR space and learn at the same time. We are going to experiment with science and discovering all sorts of gross and slimy combinations. Remember to wear something that can get a little messy because this camp is HANDS ON.
July 17 - 21, 1pm - 4pm
We will help young scientists learn about chemistry while making their own cosmetics and other spa items. Kids work hands-on to make unique soaps, bath bombs, lip balm and more!
July 24 - 28, 9am - 12pm

In this coding workshop, aspiring innovators create fun animated stories and games while learning essential programming concepts. You will learn video game design concepts, learn how to storyboard your own video game and then build a game that you can actually play!
July 31 - August 4, 9am - 12pm
If you have a kid that loves to make, invent, explore and be creative, this is the camp is for them! TinkrCAMP is a full week of discovering STEAM while having fun. They will learn about: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
July 31 - Aug 4, 1pm - 4pm
This Instructional Magic Camp will be taught by Jeff the Magician! Set the Cards aside and learn unbelievable tricks using items from around the home. Jeff will teach your child, coin tricks, money tricks, and rope tricks. They will learn magic with sponge balls, colorful handkerchiefs, checkers and all kinds of other every day items found in your home!
Aug 7 – Aug 11 • 10a – 11:30a
This camp is designed specifically for toddlers ages 2-5. They get to enjoy the thrill of summer camp while feeling the security of a parent being present. August Toddler Camp is all about Dinosaurs and volcanos! Join us as we use our senses to explore all of the things prehistoric.
Aug 14 - Aug 18, 9am - 12pm
Does cereal have real iron in it? Does soda actually rot your teeth? Can the sun really cook food? Can you take a picture without a camera? Find out the answers to these myths in this weeklong myth buster camp that will have your child asking all the right questions!
Aug 14 - Aug 18, 1pm - 4pm
Students will learn the basics of storyboarding and scriptwriting, taking pictures for their animation, and then using the post-production and editing tools in the app to create an animation.

Cancellations less than 7 days prior to camp beginning will be 100% refunded by gift card ONLY.
